Samuel is the Food Copy Editor across the Food Group at Immediate Media, working across the UK’s no.1 food media brand, Good Food, as well as olive and Easy Cook. Prior to this, he was Food Editor and subsequently Acting Food Director for the Life & Style and Homes portfolios at Future (previously TI Media). He worked titles such as woman&home, Homes & Gardens, Ideal Home, Livingetc, Country Homes & Interiors and Woman's Weekly.
He has over 15 years’ experience working in the food and drink industry as an editor, writer, educator and cook. He has written features and recipes, developed recipes, and styled shoots for national and international publications such as Waitrose Kitchen, Australian Delicious, and the LAD Bible Group; consulted on a number of best-selling food and drink books; and was a nutritional consultant for BBC’s Eat Well for Less. He is a founding director of award winning CIC, 91 Ways, and was Editor in Chief of the online coffee platform, and app, Best Coffee. More recently, he was elected Chair of the Guild of Food Writers.
He has recipe tested and assisted for Telegraph food journalist and author Xanthe Clay, appeared on Hairy Bikers whilst working as a sous-chef alongside Orlando Murrin at Langford Fivehead, worked on best-selling food magazines including BBC Good Food Magazine, olive, Delicious, and as food stylist for Waitrose Kitchen. His recipes have appeared in national publications and he has provided recipe consultancy for cookery books (including The Baker's Daughter by Louise Johncox and Spice Yourself Slim by Kalpna Woolf) and award winning products.
His debut cookbook The Tinned Tomatoes Cookbook is out now.
